How do you get the code for the stereo on a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant??

We just got a 2000 Galant that the stereo says "Code" when you turn it on. We dont have the Owners Manual. Is there any other way to get the code besides from there?

I had the same problem when I bought my car. You need to remove the panel that covers up the radio and instruments. On top of the radio is the Radio's serial number. Call any Mitsu. dealer with that serial number and they can give you the code. Be Careful! If you mess around too much and try too many times (3 to be exact) with the wrong code, it completely locks and you need to actually bring it to the dealer to be re-programmed. When you get the code, you use the pre-set numbers to cycle through the 4 digit code (Press "1" to set the first number, etc.) After all four numbers are entered, you press the button for "CD". This enters the code.
