I have an RE4 code on dd214 How do I change it to 3?

SPD code is a "KGF"- failure to meet minimum qualifications for retention. The RE code is supposedly non waiverable but the SPD code is clearly waiverable.

Reply:You can appeal it to the Board, but when you get separated they MAKE SURE you get the right discharge. Seems you had a hand in being discharged with an RE4 so trying to change things after the fact seem kind of silly. By the way, nothing is "clearly waiverable!"
Reply:prove that the RE code was given in error. doubt very seriously you will be able to get it upgraded. few ever are.
Reply:If you havea RE 4 Code on your DD214, and you want to change it . You have to write a letter to the Naval Review Board or Other Service review board. They will review your RE Code and go from there. It would help to get letters fom

Teachers,Priest, or other outstanding peole from the community. The review boards are in Washington D.C.

Note: after RE-4 there is usually a letter. Like RE-4A
