I need tips on memorising the Highway code - I've got my theory test in 2 weeks time. What's the best approach to memorising something like that?
Thanks in advance.
How can I memorise the Highway Code?
I found going over all the questions the best way 2 revise the theory test - buy the CD (u can get it on ebay 4 cheap http://search.ebay.co.uk/driving-test_W0... or do some free at http://www.dsa.gov.uk/mockpaper/theoryin...
This way when ur doing the test, u'll have seen all the questions b4. The CD also helps u practice the hazard perception bit too...
Reply:When trying to memorize any information, the best way is to:
Read the info
Write it down
Hear it from someone (you can record on to a tape)
and tell it to someone (again - a tape if nessercary)
Always worked for me :) Good luck
Reply:Read Summarise Tape.Listen to tape at opportune times eg at toilet,on bus or train etc,but especially just before you go to sleep.Put into action when driving or assimilation.
Reply:read a small amount each nite then get a friend to ask you questions on what u done that nite
Reply:Read small amounts at a time, two weeks plenty time yet
Reply:I hope this helps! I am 61 years old and relocated to the UK from a country whose licensing is not recognised here with the result that after 43 years I had to redo my licence as if I had never driven before. I bought the DVD and practised every day for 1 hour doing trial tests. I passed with 100%. The hazard test was for me more difficult but I still managed to get through. When you get a driving instructor do what you are told even if it does not make sense....it will in the long run. I passed my test first time. Best of luck.
Reply:i did mine a few months ago.
you need to keep on reading it constantly im afraid. it is good if you can get people to ask you questions too.
bsm do a book with all the questions in the highway code, if you go into your local bsm centre they have them for sale there for about 7 quid. it is brilliant alot of the questions are obvious i would recomened it 100%. i wouldnt have passed without it. you can test yourself that way on the real questions and get others to test you also. i have borrowed mine to 3 people since and they all passed 1st time, i really want you to go get it and pass. Good luck and i wish you all the best.

Reply:you don't need to memorise the entire thing. the theory test is really easy the only thing i learnt were the stopping distances the rest of the questions are pretty simple to work out
